This is a full-time role starting after the Easter break and running through until July 2026.

The Role

You will be taking over a bright and energetic Year 5 class during a crucial period of their academic journey. The school is looking for a teacher who can maintain high standards of learning while fostering a supportive, faith-based environment.

Location: Leigh, Greater Manchester.

Start Date: Immediately following the Easter holidays.

Duration: Full-term (until July).

Year Group: Year 5.

Pay: Competitive rates based on experience.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will be an excellent practitioner who can hit the ground running. Key requirements include:

Exceptional Behaviour Management: The ability to set clear boundaries and maintain a focused, positive classroom atmosphere is essential.

Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum to ensure pupils remain on track for their final primary years.

Supportive of Catholic Ethos: While you do not necessarily need to be a practicing Catholic, you must be willing to support and contribute to the school's religious character and values.

Adaptability: The skill to build quick rapport with students, staff, and parents during a mid-year transition.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Two professional references covering your most recent teaching experience.

The legal right to work in the UK.
