Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, following structured plans and departmental guidance

  • Help students improve their literacy skills, including reading, writing, and comprehension

  • Support learners through small group work and targeted interventions

  • Maintain a focused and positive classroom atmosphere

  • Take part in enrichment opportunities such as literacy initiatives and extracurricular activities

Ideal Candidate:

  • A graduate in English or a related subject, or someone with relevant classroom experience

  • Previous experience as a cover supervisor, tutor, or teaching assistant is advantageous

  • Confident communicator with good subject knowledge

  • Interested in pursuing a career in teaching or gaining long-term school experience

  • Able to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
