Student Support Assistant - Hounslow
Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive further education college in Hounslow who are seeking an experienced Student Support Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support learners academically and pastorally in both mainstream and alternative provision settings, helping students overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.

The Role
You will work alongside lecturers and support staff to provide in-class and 1:1 assistance, supporting students with academic work, behaviour management, and independent learning. This role includes supporting learners in alternative provision who may have behavioural challenges or have been excluded from mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing in-class support across college courses and alternative provision settings
* Supporting learners 1:1 and in small groups, including students with SEN and EHCPs
* Encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour
* Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
* Following safeguarding policies and college procedures at all times
* Supporting a structured and safe learning environment across multiple sites, including Isleworth and Feltham
Requirements:
* Essential: Previous UK-based experience in a school, college, alternative provision or youth work - applications without this will not be considered
* Strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting students with diverse needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Professional, reliable and proactive approach
* Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Working Pattern:
* Monday: 09:00 - 15:20 (Isleworth)
* Tuesday: 10:00 - 15:20 (Isleworth)
* Wednesday: 10:45 - 14:15 (Feltham Skills Centre)
* Thursday: 10:00 - 15:20
* Full-time, term-time college hours
