Full-Time Core Subject Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Secondary Schools | Bexley | 5 Days per Week
Are you an experienced and knowledgeable Learning Support Assistant with a strong background in core subjects? Do you have a passion for supporting students to reach their full academic potential? We are seeking a dedicated and motivated LSA to join welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Bexley.
This is a full-time, five-day-per-week role, offering the opportunity to work in a positive and well-structured school environment that values both staff and student development.
The Role:
As a Core Subject LSA, you will play a key role in supporting students within the classroom, particularly in English, Maths, and/or Science. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted academic support, help deliver engaging learning experiences, and contribute to the overall progress and confidence of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class support across core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to reinforce learning
Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting materials where necessary
Support students with varying abilities, including those requiring additional academic support
Monitor and report on student progress
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject
A degree (preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting students
