Art & Design Technology Technician - Full-Time (5 Days per Week)
Location: Bexley | Secondary Schools

The Role:
As an Art & DT Technician, you will play a key role in supporting both staff and students across the Art and Design Technology departments. You will be responsible for preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, set up, and clear away materials and equipment for Art and DT lessons

  • Maintain and organise workshops, studios, and storage areas

  • Ensure all tools and machinery are used safely and in line with health and safety regulations

  • Support teachers during practical sessions when required

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies

  • Carry out basic maintenance and repairs of equipment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an Art and/or DT Technician in a school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge across Art and Design Technology

  • A relevant degree is preferred

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach

  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a workshop/studio environment
