A 2-form entry primary school in Burnt Oak, Barnet is looking for a caring and experienced Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team after Easter. This full-time role combines general classroom support with dedicated support for a child with autism, helping them manage everyday school life and thrive in the classroom.
About the role
This is a rewarding opportunity for a nurturing, patient and empathetic Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with autism in a primary school setting.
You will work as part of the Year 3 team, supporting teaching and learning across the class, while also providing consistent support for a pupil who needs help with routines, transitions, communication and the day-to-day demands of school life.

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
Experience supporting a child with autism / ASD in a school setting
A patient, calm and nurturing approach
Strong relationship-building skills
Confidence supporting children in KS2 / Year 3
A genuine passion for helping children feel safe, settled and successful in school

£95 per day

Potential for the role to continue in September
This role would suit an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant, KS2 Teaching Assistant, Autism Support Assistant, or SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time opportunity in a supportive Barnet primary school.
