Job Description
SEN Teaching Assistant - Ealing
We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in specialist SEN schools and Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) across Ealing.
This role involves supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and behavioural challenges. You will work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping students access learning and maintain engagement in a structured environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour where required
Assisting with personalised learning plans and activities
Promoting positive behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals
Experience working with young people with SEN or in behaviour-focused settings (such as PRUs, alternative provisions, youth work or care) is desirable, but not essential.
We are looking for candidates who are:
Resilient, calm and consistent
Confident managing behaviour and setting clear boundaries
Proactive and adaptable in different school settings
Committed to supporting students with additional needs
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within specialist education settings or to build on existing SEN experience.
