Food Technology Teacher

A large secondary school based in Northwood are looking for a Food Technology teacher.
School are looking for someone to start after Easter on a long term contract until at least July 2026, with the possibility of continuing in September and securing a permanent contract.
This position is full time but school are open to part time applicants. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Salary will match outer London MPS/UPS.
School has available parking spaces.

Food Technology Teacher - Northwood, London

* Deliver engaging and practical food technology lessons, enabling students to develop essential cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and an understanding of food science.
* Inspire creativity and independence in the kitchen while promoting healthy eating and safe food preparation practices.
* Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and differentiated lesson planning.
* Maintain a safe and well-organised teaching environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed.
* Contribute to the wider Design & Technology department, supporting extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.

Qualifications and Person Specification:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A relevant degree in DT or a related subject
* Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Approachable, organised, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
