Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Uxbridge to recruit dedicated Learning Support Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs and make a real difference every day.

The school caters for students with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD). It provides a nurturing, structured, and highly supportive environment where students are encouraged to develop independence, communication skills, and confidence.

The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering personalised learning activities

  • Support students with communication, sensory, and physical needs

  • Help with personal care where required (training provided)

  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (SLD, PMLD, ASD desirable but not essential)

  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist setting

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
