SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant - Cheadle, Stockport
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming primary school in the Cheadle area of Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support plans
- Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has previous experience working with children with SEND in a school setting
- Demonstrates strong understanding of a range of additional needs
- Is patient, resilient, and nurturing in their approach
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
