BSL Teaching Assistant

Peterborough (Cambridgeshire) Long-term fixed term contract, £95-£120 per day (Weekly PAYE)

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Peterborough, rated good Ofsted is looking to appoint a BSL teaching assistant to support pupils across the school

This is a fantasise opportunity to make a real difference, working with children form EYFS though to Key stage 2. The role will involve 1:1 support as well as working with small groups, helping pupils' acers the curriculum and build confident in their learning. To start after effect half term April 2026

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support pupils using British Sign Language
  2. Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
  3. Provide targeted 1:1 and small groups support
  4. Encourage pupils' participation and independence

What we are looking for

  1. BSl skills (Qualifications or experience preferred)
  2. A caring, patient and proactive approach
  3. A Genuine passion for supporting children
  4. Strong teamwork and communication skills
