Job Description

Behaviour Mentor (Primary) - Full Time, Long Term
Location: Lewisham
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Behaviour Mentors to support primary-aged pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs. This is a full-time, long-term role within a supportive school environment, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children who require additional guidance to thrive in school.

In this role, you will work closely with pupils who may struggle to regulate their emotions or engage positively with learning. Your focus will be on building trusting relationships, providing consistent support, and helping students develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Many of your interactions will involve supporting learning activities, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping pupils take part in structured sessions, which may include sports, music, or other creative outlets.

We are particularly interested in individuals who bring energy, positivity, and a willingness to learn. A background or strong interest in sport or music would be highly beneficial, as these interests can be used to engage and motivate pupils effectively. While previous experience working with children or young people is helpful, it is not essential, as full support and training will be provided. What matters most is your ability to be a positive role model, remain calm under pressure, and work well as part of a team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience in education or pastoral support within a long-term position. The school offers a welcoming and supportive environment where staff are encouraged to grow professionally and make a real difference.

If you are motivated by the opportunity to support young people and help shape positive outcomes in their education, we would welcome your application.
