Behaviour Mentor - SEN School | Richmond | Immediate Start

We are recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist SEN school in Richmond, supporting pupils with complex needs including SEMH, Autism, and other additional learning or behavioural challenges. This is a rewarding role where your skills, patience, and resilience will directly impact the lives of pupils every day.

The Role:

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to implement individual behaviour plans
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills development
  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging fully in learning
  • Model positive behaviour and act as a role model within the school environment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH or complex behavioural needs
  • Is calm, patient, and resilient under pressure
  • Can build trusting relationships and motivate pupils effectively
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Is proactive, reliable, and committed to making a positive impact

Essential Requirements:

  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a Child and Adult DBS
  • Must be able to commit to a full-time, long-term role
