SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
A warm and welcoming primary school in Oldham is looking to appoint a dedicated and reliable 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey within a supportive and nurturing environment.
The Role:
- Long-term position with an immediate start
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND
- Supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional development
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support strategies
- Creating a safe, consistent, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience supporting children with SEND
- Experience working with children with complex needs (desirable)
- A reliable and committed approach to providing consistent support
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
