Job Vacancy: School Kitchen Lead (Catering Supervisor)
The Role
As the Kitchen Lead, you will manage the day-to-day operations of our busy kitchen, ensuring all pupils receive healthy meals.
Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Motivate and supervise kitchen staff, managing rotas and training needs.
  • Menu & Service: Plan varied menus and lead the preparation and cooking of all meals.
  • Management: Oversee food ordering via online systems (e.g., Saffron), manage stock, and control costs.
  • Compliance: Maintain exceptional food hygiene and health and safety standards.
About You
  • Experience: Previous experience in a professional kitchen, ideally catering for large groups.
  • Qualifications: You must hold a Level 3 Food Safety Qualification and an Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and basic computer literacy for ordering and payroll.
