Maths Instructor - Northampton
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Permanent Preferred | Long-Term Supply Also Considered
Daily Rate: £100-£175 (depending on experience & qualifications)
We are working in partnership with a secondary school in Northampton to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Maths Instructor to join a supportive and high-performing department from September 2026.
The school is ideally looking to appoint on a permanent basis, but is also open to considering strong candidates for a long-term supply position, making this a flexible opportunity depending on your experience and career goals.
This role is perfect for someone with strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics who is keen to make a meaningful impact while developing their experience within a school setting.
About the Role
You will be delivering Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, using structured resources and working closely with teaching staff to ensure students are supported and challenged appropriately.
The Maths department is a welcoming and dedicated team, committed to collaborative planning, shared resources, and delivering high-quality lessons that inspire confidence and engagement in students.
The curriculum is designed to connect Maths to real-world applications, helping students develop transferable skills and a strong foundation for future success.
What We're Looking For
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths (degree or similar background desirable)
- Experience working with secondary-aged students (tutoring, cover supervision, or similar)
- Confidence delivering lessons and managing a classroom environment
- A proactive, organised, and professional approach
- A genuine passion for supporting students' learning and progress
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
