Tradewind are currently recruiting for a committed and inspiring KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school on a full-time basis from May. This KS1 role is paid in line with MPS1-MPS6.
You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class from May through to the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to be extended. The school delivers a broad, creative curriculum that places a strong emphasis on developing confident readers, independent learners, and well-rounded individuals. Staff benefit from a nurturing environment where well being is prioritised, and relationships between pupils, staff, and families are at the heart of school life
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience teaching within KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2), with a strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Knowledge of Read Write Inc. phonics, or a willingness to learn and confidently deliver the programme
- A nurturing and inclusive approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Familiarity with schemes such as White Rose Maths and Oxford Reading Tree to support high-quality teaching and learning
- Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to contribute fully to school life
Essential Requirements:
- QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Enhanced DBS check and overseas police check if applicable
- Excellent references to support previous teaching. Experience in KS1 highly desirable
- Right to work in the UK
