We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a non-verbal Year 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Position Details

Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Non-Verbal ASD Support
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Status: Full-Time
Duration: Full academic year (Sept 2026 - July 2027)
Pay: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a non-verbal Year 2 pupil with ASD
• Implement communication strategies to support engagement and learning
• Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher
• Foster positive relationships with the pupil, parents, and staff

• Proactive and compassionate approach to supporting SEN pupils
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt learning strategies
• Commitment to a full-time, long-term role (Mon-Fri)
