Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Supply Basis)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking committed and adaptable Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work across a supportive trust of schools in the Barnsley area. This is a flexible supply-based role, ideal for individuals who enjoy variety in their work and are passionate about supporting pupils' learning and development.

About the Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will be working across a range of primary and/or secondary schools within the trust, providing valuable classroom support on a supply basis. Assignments may include day-to-day cover, short-term placements, and occasional longer-term opportunities.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Preparing and organising learning materials and resources
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs where required
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Have experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
  • Be flexible, reliable, and confident adapting to new environments
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Be passionate about supporting children's learning and progress
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
