Part-Time Year 5 Teacher (Immediate Start - July 2026)
Barnet Borough, North London
A popular and oversubscribed two-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Barnet is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis with an immediate start, continuing until the end of the academic year in July 2026.
The exact working days are to be confirmed, but are likely to be 2-3 days per week.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment, led by an established, highly dedicated, and committed Senior Leadership Team. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos, strong community links, and focus on high-quality teaching and learning.
The current Year 5 class are settled and making good progress. They respond best to teachers who provide clear structure and strong behaviour management-someone who is firm but fair, positive, good-humoured, and able to set and maintain clear expectations for behaviour. They are a lovely group of children who enjoy learning.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be a qualified teacher
- Have experience in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 desirable)
- Demonstrate strong classroom practice and effective behaviour management
- Be able to commit to the role until the end of the academic year
- Be passionate about delivering engaging and inspiring lessons
- Work well as part of a team and contribute positively to school life

Salary: £180-£200 per day, depending on experience
