SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH Provision - Chester Area

£92.56 - £105 per day (PAYE) | Immediate / Ongoing Opportunities

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in a specialist setting?

A well-established SEMH provision in the Chester area is currently looking to recruit resilient, confident, and experienced Teaching Assistants to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, relationship-focused environment where no two days are the same.


The Role:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils
  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
  • Supporting emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with SEMH, behaviour, or additional needs
  • Background as a:
    • SEN Teaching Assistant
    • Behaviour Mentor
    • Youth Worker / Support Worker
  • Strong behaviour management and resilience
  • A calm, consistent and patient approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
