SEMH Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Hackney
Start: September 2025 | Full-time | Term-time | £100-£120 per day
Do you have experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural needs?
A secondary school in Hackney is looking for a confident and resilient SEMH TA to support students who require additional emotional and behavioural support in school.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone considering careers in teaching, psychology, youth work or pastoral support.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting students with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Helping students regulate emotions and re-engage with learning
- Working closely with pastoral and SEN teams
- Building strong relationships and acting as a positive role model
What they're looking for:
- Experience supporting behaviour or SEMH needs
- Calm, patient and resilient personality
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Youth work, mentoring or PRU experience beneficial
