Location: Lancaster, Lancashire

Contract: Full-Time (5 Days Per Week)
Position Type: Long-Term with a view to Permanent (Temp-to-Perm)
Pay: £168.80 - £232.56 per day (Paid to scale)

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a high-achieving mainstream secondary school in Lancaster. Starting on 1st June, this role offers the perfect opportunity to embed yourself in a supportive department before the end of the academic year, with the clear intention of transitioning into a permanent contract for the new school year.

The Role
Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (all specialisms-Biology, Chemistry, and Physics-are welcome).
Plan and prepare high-quality resources that cater to a range of learning abilities.
Assess student progress and use data to inform future planning and interventions.
Maintain a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and building strong rapport with students.
Contribute to the wider school community, attending departmental meetings and parents' evenings where required.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is essential.
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the Science curriculum.
Proven track record of raising student attainment and engagement.
Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to fit seamlessly into an established team.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
