Teacher of Science - Secondary School

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join a welcoming secondary school in Doncaster on a temporary basis with an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Science teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that support academic achievement and foster a love of science.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and school initiatives where required.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to raising standards and improving student outcomes.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
