Part-Time Art & Design Technology Teacher Required - September Start

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Art & Design Technology Teacher to join our team from September on a part-time, ongoing basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher who is passionate about developing students' creativity, practical skills, and confidence in Art and Design Technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art and Design Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
  • Prepare and organise materials, equipment, and resources for practical lessons.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures within workshops and art studios.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and school events as required.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology at secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable

  • Experience teaching across a range of year groups.
  • Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and assessment practices.
  • Ability to teach both Art and Design Technology disciplines.
