  • Duration: September - December
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Full-Time)
  • Pay: Competitive (with flexibility to reflect any changes in planning responsibilities)

About the Role

Are you looking for a vibrant, rewarding role that allows you to teach across the entire primary age range without the heavy burden of full-time planning?

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Blackpool is seeking a passionate, qualified Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to deliver high-quality PPA cover from September through to December. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in a dynamic school community, covering classes from Reception all the way up to Year 6.

The Best of Both Worlds: Why This Role is Perfect For You

Whether you are just starting your teaching journey or are a seasoned pro looking for a change of pace, this role offers incredible unique benefits:

🚀 For Early Career Teachers (ECTs):

  • Whole-School Exposure: Gain invaluable experience teaching from Early Years (Reception) right up to Key Stage 2 (Year 6). This broad exposure is rare and will heavily strengthen your teacher training and pedagogy.
  • Build Your Toolkit: Discover how behaviour management, lesson pacing, and engagement strategies adapt across different age groups.
  • Enhance Your CV: Demonstrating that you can confidently step into any classroom and deliver impactful lessons will make you stand out massively to future employers.

✨ For Experienced Primary Teachers:

  • A Refreshing Change: Break out of the single-year-group routine! Enjoy the variety of moving across the school and engaging with different age groups every day.
  • Focus on Teaching: Reconnect with the joy of teaching without the draining, late-night planning sessions.
  • Share Your Expertise: Bring your wealth of experience to multiple classrooms, making a school-wide impact.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Delivery: Deliver engaging, pre-prepared lessons to classes from Reception to Year 6.
  • Planning: All planning is provided for you! You just need to show up, bring the lessons to life, and inspire the children. (Please note: In the unlikely event that any planning requirements change, your pay will be increased to reflect this).
  • Marking: Timely and constructive marking of the work completed during your sessions is required to maintain the school's high standards.
  • Community: Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and align with the school's behaviour policies.

Requirements

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic, and able to build quick rapport with diverse age groups.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to conduct one).
