Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within specialist schools, SEND provisions and alternative settings across Warrington from September 2026.
We are looking for passionate individuals who want to make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs. Whether you have previous school experience or have worked within care, support work, residential care or youth services, we'd love to hear from you.
The schools we support work with pupils with a range of needs including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- ADHD
- Moderate Learning Difficulties
- Severe Learning Difficulties
- Speech and Language Needs
- Complex Additional Needs
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide classroom support to pupils with additional needs
- Work on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and development
- Help implement behaviour and support plans
- Encourage engagement, confidence and independence
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
We Are Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people
- Experience within schools, care settings, support work, residential care or youth work is desirable
- A patient, positive and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
