SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Specialist

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bolton is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to join their team from September.

This role involves working closely with a Key Stage 1 pupil who benefits from structured routines, visual supports, and consistent adult guidance. The successful candidate will be patient, proactive, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential both academically and socially.

The role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC.
  • Implementing personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
  • Supporting communication and social interaction development.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENDCOs, and external professionals.
  • Encouraging independence and emotional regulation.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience supporting children with Autism.
  • A calm and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience within a primary school setting.
  • Relevant TA or SEN qualifications (desirable).
