Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a qualified Science teacher with a specialism in Chemistry or Physics looking for a new supply role for September 2026 in South Manchester?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a talented Science teacher to join a successful secondary academy in Trafford.

This is a full-time long-term supply teacher role from September 2026 onwards to cover a temporary absence.

The Role

  • Teacher of Science to GCSE, with a preference for Chemistry or Physics specialists.
  • Five days a week.
  • Positive, confident classroom management skills with a focus on Assessment for Learning.
  • Innovative teacher able to inspire students through excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science.
  • The school is interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS Teachers, or further education teachers with experience of teaching students aged 11 to 16.

  • Oversubscribed secondary academy for girls.
  • Ofsted Good - November 2023.
  • "Students' behaviour is good. They are polite, friendly, and respectful towards adults and each other. Students are fiercely proud of their school. Attitudes to learning are good and students work hard. They come well prepared for lessons, enjoy taking part, and offer their opinions willingly."
  • Very supportive environment for trainee teachers and early career teachers.

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS.
