Lifeskills Tutor - Special Educational Needs Setting (SEN)
Supporting Young Adults Aged 18-25
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Role: Part-Time - 2 Days per Week

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lifeskills Tutor to join an Internship Programme in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
Working with young adults aged 18-25 who have additional learning needs, you will deliver engaging, practical and personalised Lifeskills learning that supports learners to develop confidence, independence and the skills required for everyday life and future employment.

The Role:
As Lifeskills Tutor, you will:
- Deliver a bespoke Lifeskills curriculum based on the four Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) pillars:
- Employability
- Independence
- Community Inclusion
- Health and Wellbeing
- Design & deliver engaging, practical and hands-on learning sessions that reflect real-life situations and experiences
- Bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to enhance and rejuvenate the current programme
- Support learners on a non-accredited pathway through RARPA-based provision
- Create schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources (LTPs, MTPs and STPs)
Suitable Candidates:
Essential
- Experience working within an SEN, SEND or inclusive learning environment
- Strong understanding of the Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) framework
- Ability to deliver engaging, practical and meaningful learning experiences
- Experience developing schemes of work and learning resources
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, flexible and learner-focused approach
- Passion for supporting young people to develop independence and life skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement)
- Experience supporting young adults preparing for independent living and employment
- Experience delivering community-based or vocational learning activities
