SEN Teaching Assistant - Ely, Cambridgeshire

Immediate & September Starts Available

Salary: £95 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday-Friday, Term Time Only
Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire

Are you looking for a rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant role where you can make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people?

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of specialist schools and SEN provisions across Ely and the surrounding areas, seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive teams. These exciting opportunities involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils within the classroom, on a 1:1 basis, and in small group settings
  • Help students achieve their academic, social, and personal development goals
  • Promote confidence, independence, and positive engagement with learning
  • Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies
  • Support pupils with personal care where required
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide the best outcomes for students

About You

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Are patient, caring, and adaptable in their approach
  • Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one
