Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work full-time across a range of primary schools in Ellesmere Port. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching, experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants looking to take the next step, or graduates seeking valuable classroom experience.

Working across a variety of welcoming primary schools, you'll play a key role in ensuring pupils remain engaged in learning when teachers are absent.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising whole-class learning during teacher absences.
• Delivering pre-set work and ensuring pupils remain on task.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Supporting pupils with their learning where appropriate.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

No lesson planning or marking is required, allowing you to focus on supporting pupils and maintaining high standards within the classroom.

Who We're Looking For

• Have experience working with children or young people.
• Are confident managing groups of pupils.
• Possess strong communication and organisational skills.
• Can remain calm, professional, and adaptable.
• Have a genuine interest in education and child development.
• Are able to quickly build positive relationships within school settings.

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, Tutor, or Mentor would be highly beneficial, although full support will be provided for suitable candidates.
