Location: Bamber Bridge, Lancashire (PR5)

Pay: £92.56 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (September 2026 - July 2027)

Start Date: September 2026

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bamber Bridge (PR5) from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting pupils with additional needs in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other learning difficulties.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation using consistent strategies.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals where appropriate.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a school or care setting.
  • A calm, patient, and caring approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant experience.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
