Teaching Assistant (TA) - Secondary School
Hounslow | September 2026 Start | Full-Time | Long-Term

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated TA to join their SEN department from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role offering an excellent opportunity to make a real impact within a thriving school community.

Working alongside experienced staff, you will support students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, helping them access learning and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 SEN support

  • Support small group interventions

  • Assist teachers with classroom preparation and resources

  • Implement behaviour and engagement strategies

  • Monitor progress and work closely with the SEN team

  • Build positive relationships to support confidence and independence

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Be a recent graduate or an experienced Teaching Assistant

  • Have experience or a strong interest in SEN support

  • Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Be calm, patient, and proactive

  • Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff
