Teaching Assistant (TA) - Secondary School
Hammersmith and Fulham | September 2026 Start | Full-Time | Long-Term

Are you a recent graduate seeking valuable school-based experience, or an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding position in a supportive secondary school environment?

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham is looking to appoint a dedicated TA to join their SEN team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering the chance to make a meaningful difference within a vibrant school community.

Working alongside skilled staff, you will support students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, helping them to engage positively with learning and achieve their potential.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 SEN support

Support small group interventions

Assist teaching staff with classroom preparation and learning resources

Implement behaviour and engagement strategies

Track progress and collaborate closely with the SEN team

Develop positive relationships that encourage confidence and independence

The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will:

Be a recent graduate or an experienced Teaching Assistant

Have a genuine interest or background in SEN support

Show strong communication and behaviour management skills

Be calm, patient, and proactive in your approach

Be able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
