Business Studies Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Business Studies Teacher to work in an exceptional school a short distance from York. This booking will commence 7th September 2026, and will last until the end of the academic year in 2027. Full planning, marking, and teaching responsibilities (including parents evenings and after school clubs) will be expected for this role, and as such payment will be fully in line with the main teaching pay scale. Currently this is between £32, 916 and £51, 048 per year, but this may be subject to increase depending on changes to the national teachers pay scales in September. Working hours for this school are between 8:30 and 4:50.

This role will involve teaching Business studies to enthusiastic and keen Key Stage 3 and 4 students. You will be provided with some excellent resources that you can use to adapt to get the best out of your students, or use your own! The school in question are looking for a dynamic practitioner who will engage and challenge students, and take a student first approach. These students are keen to learn and keen to be stretched, working at a high level, and are looking for a teacher that can motivate and inspire them.

This school is located a short drive away from York, in a beautiful and spectacular rural setting. There is a large onsite car park for candidates that drive, but accessing the school without a car can provide challenging on public transport. The school has exceptional facilities and opportunities for students. The school are extremely interested in hearing from ECT candidates, and will work through 3 full terms of ECT through this placement.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience teaching Business Studies to Key Stage 5 students
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
