A well-regarded 2-form entry primary school in Ealing Broadway is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team from January 2027 until July 2027, with the possibility of the role extending beyond the initial contract.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach a Year 1 class from January 2027
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality phonics teaching and early reading provision
  • Support pupils' progress across reading, writing, mathematics, and the wider curriculum
  • Use assessment effectively to identify next steps in learning
  • Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 1 teacher and wider KS1 team
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

The school is looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
  • Has a secure understanding of phonics and the KS1 curriculum
  • Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Has strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Works effectively as part of a team
