About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced teaching staff to provide additional support to students across the school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will help create an engaging classroom environment, support learning activities, and encourage students to build confidence and independence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.

• Work with students individually and in small groups to support their learning.

• Assist pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.

• Encourage positive behaviour and promote a respectful learning environment.

• Help prepare resources and support classroom organisation.

• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

• Monitor student progress and share feedback with teaching staff.

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

• A genuine interest in supporting education and student development.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

• Right to work in the UK.
