The Opportunity

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students throughout the school day. You will work closely with teaching staff to help create a positive learning environment, ensuring pupils receive the encouragement and guidance needed to succeed.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.

• Provide targeted support to students individually and in small groups.

• Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.

• Support students with their academic, social, and emotional needs.

• Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a welcoming classroom environment.

• Prepare resources and assist with daily classroom organisation.

• Work collaboratively with staff to support student progress.

Person Specification

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

• A genuine passion for supporting students and improving outcomes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A caring, patient, and proactive approach.

• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

• Right to work in the UK.
