The Opportunity

Working as a Science Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the science department. You will assist teachers with practical lessons, prepare experiments, and ensure laboratories are fully equipped and compliant with safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up practical equipment and resources for lessons.

• Assist teachers with demonstrations and experiments.

• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure resources are available.

• Monitor and replenish stock supplies.

• Support safe working practices within laboratories.

• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety procedures.

• Work closely with science staff to enhance practical learning opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience within a laboratory, school, or similar technical environment is preferred.

• Understanding of science equipment and safe working practices.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.

• A positive attitude and willingness to support students and staff.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

• Right to work in the UK.
