We're already recruiting for the new academic year and have multiple teaching opportunities starting this September across specialist schools in the Shropshire area.

Due to increasing demand from our partner schools, we're looking to speak with qualified Maths, English and Science Teachers who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.

We have a high volume of September vacancies, with new roles continuing to come in, so whether you're looking for a long-term placement or a permanent position, we'd love to hear from you.

Our partner schools primarily support pupils with:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

This is an excellent opportunity to teach in supportive, well-resourced schools where smaller class sizes allow you to build meaningful relationships and deliver personalised learning that has a lasting impact.

The Role

As a specialist teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths, English or Science.
  • Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral teams.
  • Support pupils with complex learning, behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Inspire confidence, independence and positive outcomes for every learner.

We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths, English or Science.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A patient, resilient and compassionate approach.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within SEN, SEMH or PMLD settings.
  • Knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and differentiated learning.
  • Team Teach, MAPA or other positive behaviour management training (advantageous but not essential).
