Teaching Assistant - Early Years (Nursery/Reception)

Location: Barking & Dagenham
Start Date: September 2026

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a large, well regarded primary school in Barking & Dagenham. They are seeking that dedicated teaching assistants to join their early years (nursery/reception).

Further details:

The role will be a combination of 1:1 support for students with Autism, as well as

general classroom assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for key students with additional needs
  • Support learning through play-based and structured activities
  • Assist with the development of early literacy, phonics, and numeracy skills
  • Helping to maintain a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Assisting with observations and tracking pupil progress

About You:

  • Have previous experience as a teaching assistant in early years setting, such as nursery or reception
  • Have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism
  • Be patient, empathic, and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Work effectively as part of a team while building positive relationships with children and staff
