Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Southport
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time
Duration: September 2026 - October Half Term (with the potential to be extended for the right candidate)

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Southport from September 2026.

This is a full-time role supporting pupils across the primary age range, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups. The position is initially until October Half Term, with the opportunity to continue beyond this for the right candidate.

The school has an excellent reputation for its supportive leadership team, positive learning environment, and commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

The successful candidate will:

Have recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
Be confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, both in the classroom and through small group interventions.
Have experience supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND, where required.
Be patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping children develop both academically and socially.
Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, working effectively alongside teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
