PE Cover Supervisor
Haringey | £110-£150 per day | Full-time | Long-term Start Date: 1st September 2026 - July 2027
Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a full-time PE Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary academy in Haringey from September 2026 through to July 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, energetic and organised individual with experience working with young people and a passion for sport and physical education. The successful candidate will supervise PE lessons, maintain positive behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged in learning during teacher absence.

Role Summary
As a PE Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned PE lessons, supervise practical activities and support students in maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Deliver work set by teaching staff.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support students with practical activities and learning tasks.
  • Assist with sports activities, fixtures and enrichment where required.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Passion for physical education and sport.
  • Ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Degree, sports qualification or relevant school experience desirable.
Pay and Progression
Daily pay is £110-£150 per day.
The highest rate of up to £150 per day is typically available to candidates who can demonstrate:
  • Previous Cover Supervisor experience.
  • School-based PE experience.
  • Relevant sports coaching or physical education qualifications.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a track record of successful classroom supervision.
