Teaching Assistant - September 2026 Start

Are you a high-achieving graduate from a Russell Group university looking to begin a rewarding career in education? A thriving secondary school in Ealing is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, approximately 8:15am to 4:00pm, providing an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology or another education-based profession.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support students during lessons, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.

  • Encourage student participation, confidence and academic progress.

  • Help prepare classroom resources and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Support pupils with varying learning needs while promoting independence.

  • Assist with behaviour management in line with the school's policies.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

To be Eligible You Will Need

  • A degree from a Russell Group university.

  • A genuine passion for working with young people.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive, reliable and professional approach.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

  • The right to work in the UK.
