SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Tendring, Essex
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Tendring area from September 2026.

The role includes:

  • Providing tailored support for pupils with a variety of SEND.

  • Working one-to-one and with small intervention groups.

  • Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and learning.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and independence.

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND, either in education or a related setting.

  • Be calm, patient and adaptable.

  • Have excellent communication skills.

  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

  • Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
