  • Identify damaged or faulty equipment and report issues appropriately.

  • Follow COSHH, health and safety and school procedures.

  • Assist with maintaining laboratory records and documentation.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of the science team.

  • Help ensure practical sessions are delivered safely and efficiently.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree or relevant qualification in a scientific discipline is desirable.

  • Previous laboratory or technical experience.

  • Strong practical understanding of science equipment and procedures.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Organised approach with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.

  • Comfortable working in a busy school environment.

  • Reliable, flexible and able to work independently.

  • Strong awareness of workplace and laboratory safety.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

  • Right to work in the UK.

Benefits

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday.

  • September 2026 start.

  • Approximately one-term initial assignment.

  • Strong potential for the role to be extended.

  • Opportunity to gain experience within a school science department.

  • Varied and practical working environment.

  • Competitive daily rate.

  • Dedicated support from your recruitment consultant.

  • Excellent opportunity to develop your career in Hounslow.

If you're a practical, organised science professional who enjoys supporting experiments and helping others get the most from scientific resources, we'd love to hear from you.
