KS1 Class Teacher - Bexley

Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Pay: £39,196-£58,120 per annum (Outer London MPS/UPS)

A primary school in Bexley are looking for a KS1 Class Teacher to join them on a long-term basis, starting ASAP.

The school are looking for a teacher who enjoys working with younger pupils and can create a well-structured classroom where children feel settled and ready to learn. You will be responsible for your own class and will work closely with the school's support staff.

Main responsibilities:

• Teaching across the KS1 curriculum
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Adapting work to meet individual needs
• Establishing effective classroom routines
• Managing behaviour consistently
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
• Working alongside Teaching Assistants
• Supporting pupils' academic and personal development

The successful candidate will have:

• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Previous UK primary teaching experience
• KS1 experience
• Strong classroom management
• Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
• A calm, consistent and approachable manner
