Teaching Assistant - Full-Time Opportunities

Monday to Friday | SEN Schools | Thanet & Surrounding Areas (Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate)

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday) within specialist SEN schools across Thanet and the surrounding areas.

These roles offer the opportunity to become a valued member of a dedicated school team, with many positions leading to long-term placements and some progressing to permanent employment.

About the Schools

Our partner schools support children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including:

  • Complex sensory needs
  • Medical needs
  • Moderate learning difficulties
  • Social, emotional and behavioural needs

You'll work with pupils across both primary and secondary age groups, helping them achieve their full potential in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll:

  • Support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) both in and out of the classroom.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage confidence, independence and engagement.
  • Help students understand and manage their behaviour through consistent support and encouragement.
  • Work alongside teachers, parents and external professionals to deliver the best possible outcomes.
  • Assist in delivering personalised learning programmes tailored to each student's individual needs.
  • Provide personal care when required.

Previous experience in education, care or supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable but not essential.

Requirements

  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
    • A new DBS costs £62, which we'll reimburse after you've completed 20 days of work with us.
