Teacher of Business Studies required for a high-achieving secondary school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, teaching within an academically successful school, with a strong sixth form and established Business Studies provision.
The Role
This is a particularly good opportunity for a teacher who wants to work in a school where academic standards are high and students are encouraged to achieve strong examination outcomes.
The school is a selective school for pupils aged 11-18, with a substantial sixth form and a broad A Level curriculum. Business Studies is established across the secondary and sixth-form curriculum, with students progressing to leading universities and a range of higher education and career destinations. Recent published results show strong overall GCSE and A Level performance.
The successful candidate will:
- Teach Business Studies across the relevant key stages
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons
- Prepare students effectively for examinations
- Track attainment and respond to individual learning needs
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Support students' wider academic development
Requirements:
You should hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification and have strong subject knowledge. Experience teaching GCSE and/or A Level Business Studies would be advantageous.
